Pete and Lauren's story started in November 2018, like so many other modern romances: a well-timed swipe right. Pete was in Boston for graduate school at Northeastern, and Lauren was working in public relations in the city after graduating from Boston College a few yers prior.

The two quickly hit it off, and in their first few years of dating, the new couple would go to concerts, Red Sox games (including Pete's first!), and take weekend trips all over New England, never missing an opportunity to stop for ice cream.

Lauren and Pete moved to Atlanta in the Summer of 2021 following several adventurous years in Boston. Books and guitars carefully packed, and with the now Maid of Honor and Best Man in tow, the couple made the 1,700 mile drive from Brookline to their new home in North Buckhead. It would be on the front porch of that house that Pete asked Lauren for her hand in marriage.

In summer 2022, the couple adopted Archer, a Husky-Lab mix whose unbreakable spirit lights up rooms and interrupts Zoom calls. Lauren proved to be a quick study of Atlanta culture; she knows her Waffle House order by heart and can navigate I-85 like a true native.

Lauren's mom Cathy was diagnosed with a rare thyroid cancer in February 2021. After nearly two years of success on a clinical trial, we found out that her cancer had returned in January 2023.

Cathy underwent major surgery in February, including a total laryngectomy to remove the tumor. Because of the changing circumstances, the couple had a mini wedding in front of their families, maid of honor, and best man in Lauren's hometown.

This wedding was pulled together in a matter of days, and the intimate ceremony was a perfect send-off before Cathy's surgery. Pete, Lauren and their families are so excited to get to celebrate their marriage with you this October.
